Board Members Wanted

Rochdale Law Centre is looking for three people to join our board (also called management committee).

Becoming a board member is an exciting and challenging position. Our Law Centre has the potential for growth and improvement of our services to residents at the Borough of Rochdale. As a board member you could be a part of this process.

Our board is currently meeting on the first Monday of each month at 5pm for up to two hours.

Rochdale Law Centre is a registered charity employing Solicitors and Caseworkers providing free specialist, independent legal advice and representation in Employment, Housing, Immigration & Asylum and Discrimination cases to anyone who lives or works within the Metropolitan Borough of Rochdale, Heywood, Middleton and Pennines (including Littleborough, Wardle and Milnrow).

The Law Centre provides a free service in the following areas of law:

Employment

Including problems at work, unfair dismissal, discrimination, redundancy, wages problems, maternity rights and tribunals.

Housing

Including loss of your home, rent arrears, housing benefit, eviction, homelessness, possession & court proceedings, repair problems with your landlord.

Immigration

Including family & marriage visa, visitors, asylum seekers & refugees, settlement, deportation, visa applications, applying to the Home Office, appeals.

Discrimination

Including race, sex, disability, sexuality.
